Rita Kirsner, (b. 1997, United States) received her BFA in painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia, in 2021. Based in Jacksonville, Florida, she has exhibited her work in group shows at the Alexander Hall Gallery in Savannah, GA, and internationally in Lacoste, France, while studying abroad.
artist statement
“My practice is largely comprised of textural, non-objective works, aiming to interweave both visual and tactile senses. The paintings serve as occupants in a space, each having a presence of their own. I find the personification of inanimate objects fascinating, and oftentimes allow the paint to create forms upon which I build. Through my artistic expression, I grant the public an intimate view into the inter workings of my mind.”
